SERVICES: Goodwill Visits
As the pioneers of Social Robotics, our Robots can be leveraged by clients into some compassionate and heartwarming Cause-Marketing strategies by simply scheduling some of the following activities along with any Event, Grand Opening, Press Conference, Trade-Show Exhibit, Promotion, etc.
GOODWILL VISIT TO A SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER
“While visiting a senior center with Robot SICO, I was told of a depressed lady who refused to leave her room and join in any activities. She had lost her husband, and the will to live. SICO came by her room and had a long conversation with her, sharing with her that he was very sad and lonely as he missed his family. He then invited her to be his date in the evening dance at the senior center. She asked the robot to leave and come back in 10 minutes. When he knocked on her door she appeared dressed in her best attire and had a shiny black purse on her arm. “I’m ready!” she exclaimed to the robot. They walked to the ballroom arm in arm. She stood on the robot’s platform, and they danced, and they danced…as a perfect gentleman, the robot walked her back to her room, and she thanked him for making her feel alive again.” —Robert Doornick, President IRI

GOODWILL VISIT TO CHILDREN’S CANCER WARD
“I visited a young girl in the hospital who was in a semi-coma following a brain tumor operation. She would not react or respond to anything or anyone for days, and everyone was pretty concerned about the outcome and her possible recovery. I was advised not to invest any time with the robot as we toured the hospital. I offered to go into her room anyway and the robot stood at the edge of her bed, stating the following comments to her:
“Whoa! I have never in my life seen anyone so beautiful Your eyes sparkle like a cascade of diamonds, your skin is as soft as the petal of a precious rose! As a robot from a distant civilization, I have traveled many galaxies, near and far, but now that I have encountered you, human Christine, I have finally touched a star! I love you with all my Robotic heart!” There was total silence. Her parents and doctors smiled politely. Then, slowly, there was movement. Her arms slid alongside her body. She propped herself upwards on her elbows, staring right at the robot, and then slowly murmured the following words: “Do you really love me?” —Robert Doornick, President & SEO of IRI
